Abstract：This article tries to re -difine the object of investigation for Marxist economics , in the perspective of whether novelty is properly explained .It is argued that novelty , as regarded by evolutionary economists as one of the most important phenomenon in economic evolution , is included in the conception of labour or the mode of production as defined by Marx .In contrast to neo -classical economics which excludes novelty or innovation in the very beginning , Marxist economics has already left explanative room for novelty in its definition of object of investigation .
